Celebration

February 17, 2009

Hey Guys,

What a great day Sunday was in the life of GOH. Bryan and I loved meeting with our first group of seekers in this new journey. If you were unable to make the meeting we have a response card that you need to fill out here

Bryan and I will start meeting with groups of leadership in the different areas this week, so make sure we have your name and contact info.

Also it was truley something special to hear each of your testmonies on why this idea has captured your hearts. We would love for you to leave some of those responces here in our comments section.

Again thanks to so many of you who have embarked on this incredible journey with us.

We love you guys

Important February 15th Meeting!

February 11, 2009

Sunday was a world changing day, and our church is a buzz with all the possibilities of a fair trade poverty assistance project.

I had multiple conversations with men and women looking to affect change in their own spheres of influence, on levels we never dreamed of.

Our church has awakened to a new day of Justice and, with your help, we are leading out in tangible expressions.

Thank all of you for your eagerness to be a part of this movement. Hundreds of you signed up to be a part of Grounds of Hope, and we would like to develop teams based on skills and areas of interest.

We will meet Sunday Feb 15th, from 3:00 to 4:15pm in the Gym.

Itinerary for the meeting will look something like this:

  • Gather at 3:00pm in the Gym
  • Discuss the dream of Grounds of Hope (video)
  • Overview of the current business plan
  • Response

Next meeting: March 1st @ 2:30pm (location TBD)

Later this week Bryan will be visiting a fair trade coffee shop in D.C. where he hopes to capture video to be shown at the Feb. 15th meeting.  Be at the meeting to hear what Mark Batterson’s journey has entailed in launching a fair trade coffee shop, Ebenezer’s, in the local community there.

Check out their website at http://ebenezerscoffeehouse.com/

I can’t wait to see where God takes us on this journey!

Thanks,

Jon Glidden
